Writer's Block: Let me at em'

What is the bravest thing you've ever done? Would you do it again?

Hmm, I guess I have a few brave things that I've done. However, I DO have one that stands out the most. I consider these things to be brave for me, because really, I am the biggest baby I know. One of the bravest things I've ever done was getting a tattoo when I was thirteen, I'm fourteen now. I was shaking and rocking back and fourth once I arrived, a guy who did professional piercings and tattoos out of his house who used to work at a parlour, agreed to do mine under-the-table, and my nerves were absolutely shot. Everyone that I talked to before said that tattoos hurt a lot and that the pain felt like a deep cat scratch and it was annoying and unpleasant. I was so nervous, and terrified. Once I finally relaxed and the artist starting talking to me and telling me to breathe deeply and calm down, I was fine. I was actually enjoying myself. I looked down at my hip where I thought he was preparing to do my tattoo, and found that he had already started the tattoo without telling me, and he was about half way finished already. I didn't even take notice when he started. At that point, I laughed at how ridiculous I was acting before and realized that tattoos didn't hurt and they weren't scary or gross at all.

I absolutely love my tattoo now, and if I didn't love it so much, I would definitely get another one again ♥

Writer's Block: Star struck

Why do people care so much about the private lives of celebrities? Is it idol worship, schadenfreude, or something entirely different?

I've never been that way and I can't really wrap my head around it, myself. I can't understand why we devote so much time caring about the lives of people we've never even met or talked to before. It just seems like a waste of time to me. At the end of the day, celebrities are just people.

Writer's Block: Home sweet home

Do you have a favorite aesthetic style in terms of home design? If money were no object, how would you change your home?

18th century Victorian antique furniture is absolutely beautiful, so if money wasn't an object, my home would definitely be decorated with it.

Writer's Block: Happy happy joy joy

What cheers you up the most when life gets you down?

Tokio Hotel fanfic : )

Writer's Block: Comfortably numb

Where is your favorite place to relax?

Hmm, I don't really have a particular favorite place, but anywhere snuggly and warm. I really enjoy relaxing in my bedroom, though : )

Writer's Block: Vampires, again?

Is there a TV show that everyone around you watches that you really don't get or like? If so, what is it? To what do you ascribe the odd fascination?

Hmm, 'So You Think You Can Dance', dating shows, game shows, talent/competitive shows; etc. I also really don't enjoy 'True Blood' or 'Vampire Diaries' or any of the Twilight movies. Vampires are so overrated nowadays. Vampires used to be cool, interesting and terrifying and now they glitter in the sunlight, have sex and fall in love with clingy teenage girls? Give me a break. The best vampire movies and novels that I have ever read or seen are either foreign, unpopular and basically unheard of in Canada or the States. In some cases these movies and novels haven't even been released in America yet, and I hope they never will. Personally, I just feel like nothing is original or unique anymore when it comes to television.

Writer's Block: More than words

Which song lyrics send shivers down your spine and really hit you emotionally?

'This Time Imperfect' by AFI.

Writer's Block: Capital offense

What is your opinion of the death penalty? How important is this issue in deciding which political candidates you support?

I personally do not agree with the death penalty. I believe that it is a kind of 'easy way out'. I would much rather have someone serving a life sentance in prison than go through the death penalty. I believe that if you are in prison, you are there for a reason. Death should not be an option and you should pay the consequences in the most appropriate ways for your actions. I believe that death acts as a kind of escape route. But hey, this is just my own personal opinion.

Writer's Block: Daydream believer

If you could choose to control your dreams, would you? If so, what would you dream about?

If I could choose to control my dreams, I definitely would! I would dream about the Kaulitz twins, all the time, 24-7. Life would be good :)

Writer's Block: Too mainstream

If you've been following a relatively obscure band and they start to become popular, do you tend to lose interest at some point? Is mainstream appeal a turn off when it comes to music?

Depends. Sometimes bands become mainstream at a certain point in their careers and stay that way and other times they come into the mainstream occasionally. For instance, Marilyn Manson is a favorite band of mine that I wouldn't really consider 100% mainstream, but yet when they release a new single or hit it is played on the radio, television, etc; so for that time period they are mainstream. It's a little complicated, aha, but that's just my opinion. For me personally though, if I really and genuinely like a band then it doesn't matter to me whether they are mainstream or not, but yes, I start to lose a little bit of interest in them at a certain point in time.
